INSTALLING A NEW SPLIT AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

Installing a split air conditioning unit typically involves the following steps:
  1. Choose a suitable location for the indoor and outdoor units, taking into account factors such as proximity to windows, availability of power outlets, and the size of the units.
  2. Install the outdoor unit on a sturdy, level platform, making sure to leave enough clearance around it for proper ventilation and air flow.
  3. Install the indoor unit on a wall or ceiling, using the mounting brackets provided. Make sure the unit is securely attached and level.
  4. Connect the indoor and outdoor units using the copper refrigerant lines, taking care to properly insulate the lines to prevent heat loss.
  5. Connect the electrical wiring, making sure to use the correct gauge wire and properly ground the units.
  6. Install the air ducts and vent covers, taking care to properly seal the joints to prevent air leaks.
  7. Charge the system with the appropriate amount of refrigerant, according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  8. Test the system to ensure it is operating properly and make any necessary adjustments.
It is important to carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions when installing a split air conditioning unit, and to consult a professional if you are unsure of how to properly install the unit.
